(Partial) Perspective Vortex

The walk to work.

Is it better to have ubiquitous communication and know what is going to hit you when you get there? Or enjoy the walk in the hope that it will be an easy day? I fear that is no longer a real choice in the age of the smartphone.

(I am back-blipping this and the thought is particularly pertinent now because I was at a formal dinner on Friday sitting next to someone who was in the headlines 24 hours later and his Blackberry was very busy but his manners perfect.)
