3 years hard work...
Over the moon, proud, relieved, happy, excited...
A lot of stress, hard work, long hours at my desk, frustration, reward, experience, finding of new interests.
There were times I didn’t know whether I had been brave or stupid taking a 2nd degree on in Biology and Chemistry at the age of 39. Now as I approach 42, it’s all worth it. Dreams do come true and new doors have been opened.
Finding out whilst sat in the car park that is the M1 wasn’t how I thought it would be, but it meant that I could go out and celebrate knowing I had the result. (This is a back blip and I can tell you... celebrate we did!)
This one is for my wonderful Nan, who I lost at the age of 89 four days before my last exam. We’d looked after her 24 hours a day for a year which meant a lot of travelling. The smile on her face when I told her I’d past my dissertation with a 1st will stay with me forever and was very much with me on Friday.
