Hat with a view

Lying on the veranda in 27 degrees of heat I noticed that my brown woven paper sunhat gave a lovely effect when I had my face inside it and looked towards the light.

Up early to do a massive dump run, got rid of pipes, greenhouse framed, old computer casing, a radiator and the two huge plastic water tanks from the loft which we were told were not recyclable sadly!

Visited a garden centre and got a delightful purple geranium for the hanging basket by the door (the ivy that was in it has suffered greatly in the heat and is no more). Bought three plants to go by the fence by the front door and the bees and butterflies already love them! We had a new fence put in about 6 months ago or so (jointly paid for with a neighbour) and since then the plants that were there have disappeared so it’s nice to bring back a pretty sight.
