Sad decline

Several years ago, the local primary school (where I began my primary education and where both my parents taught) was featured in the gardening programme, the Beechgrove Garden. They chose, from nominations, a public-ish space to be renovated or "greenified".

Anyway, the school was closed last year and was merged in with the primary school where I continued my education! The second building was pulled down and replaced with a brand new building to house both populations.

Today, I saw a Planning Department notice saying the building is to be converted to flats. I also "saw" a birds face in the top of this bin half buried in overgrown foliage.
