Relaxed
We had booked ourselves a day on site today. Something hung over from our guide camp days when we always had a 'rest' day. The sun was out again for us and we sat in the sun then shade by the caravan, reading. At about 12 we were so hot we headed down to the pool. There, Henry and I were straight in to the pool. It was a perfect temperature. Then we sat in the sun to dry off and read. Jon stayed in the shade. As you can see. He did briefly cool off before we went back for lunch. Can't believe how lucky we have been with the weather.
After our late relaxed lunch we drove to Padstow for a couple of hours. Looked in lots of gift shops but didn't buy anything. Daniel & Mollie - do you have and special requests? Lots of jewellery and fudge shops! A huge number of art galleries which are lovely but expensive.
Then we drove round to Polzeath to end our day sitting on the beach watching surfers. Then fish and chips in the safety of the car. Today I had two near miss's with gulls dropping horrible presents. First covering the seat next to the one I was sitting on, then next to me as I walked down the beach. The third time, it got all of us on the beach. So when we ate our chips we sat inside. We were watched by a greedy gull.
It's Trivial Pursuit tonight. We've been playing half an hour and no-one has any pieces of pie yet. We think it's about 20 years old. Henry hasn't a hope!!
