Galloping home

K was doing some galloping training with the horses today so we went out to see her and to take some pictures.  Looked like pretty hard work, particulalry given the temperatures were (again) well up in the 20's.  Well done K :D

Home in the afternoon to watch England sweep up third place against Belgium in the World Cup.........only they didn't, losing 0-2  :(  

The tennis from Wimbledon however, was much more engrossing with a stunning semi final being finished between the tall timbers of John Isner (6'10") and Kevin Anderson (6'8")........a monumental 26-24 in the 5th set decider made it one of Wimbledon's longest ever matches.  Then of course, there was the ladies final to be watched.  Despite an impressive run following her return after having her first child, Serena Williams wasn't quite up to the standard set by Angelique Kerber who won in straight sets.  

Boy - this has been a busy sports period!
