This is my geeky husband with his real and expensive lightsaber, having a battle with our daughter and her green torch stick that Dadcu gave her last weekend... I took a few shots of them this morning but thought it would look good in the dark so provoked another battle this evening. I also have to admit that despite my camera being almost 2 months old - I still haven't properly read the instruction manual (I am one of those people who learns by doing!) so I was frantically trying to work out how to change the shutter speed (at one point I had a minute exposure set somehow and it took so long to take the picture I thought I'd broken the camera....!)

A funny old day today. I felt like the world was out to get us! We had decided to go to the cinema and had ordered tickets with our tesco vouchers. They had to be printed and when we tried to print them, about to head out the door, the printer started playing up. Whilst Chris got in a tizz trying to fix it, Amelie had a meltdown because she didn't want to wear her jacket. Eventually we got out the door and to the cinema where I stood in a long queue only to realise when I got to the front that the screening Chris had chosen was the 3D one! So I had to pay extra and buy glasses (despite having them at home) rather than wait an hour for the next 2D one.

We had chosen to see Madagascar 3 and we bought a big bag of popcorn to distract Amelie from the fact she was going to have to wear some strange glasses for the next hour or so. Mostly successful! They stayed on 89% of the time, she loved the popcorn and she seemed to enjoy the film too (there was a lot of Amelie dancing going on and a few laughs too although I think most of the jokes went over her head...we enjoyed them though!)

After le cinema we had lunch in Bella Italia - not a huge fan of their menu but the food was good and their children's pack was excellent!

Back home and I get an email to say my iphone order has been cancelled as I have no credit history in my married name...boo to that! I have re-ordered under Chris' name. I guess this means he is going to pretend the phone is his now!
