Remembrance
Let me tell you about Bristow Muldoon.
In the late thirties Bristow was my dad's first messenger boy in his shop. Just as war was declared, he joined the Merchant Navy. His ship was torpedoed early in 1940 and he did not survive, nor was his body ever brought home. He was only eighteen! He left behind a mother broken hearted for the loss of her only son.
War is futile and no one ever wins!
I never ever met Bristow, he died just before I was born, but I thought of him during the two minutes' silence in our church this Remembrance Day morning.
Lest we forget.....
