Well impressed

This year again, the Press Pphotographer of the Year exhibition in my favourite library is full of very strong images. 
Most of them by photographers of the Irish Times or the Independent (two of the last few newspapers still employing the services of professional image makers, rather than rely on members of the public happy to make their phone photographs available for free). 

The poor level of resolution and relatively small size in the printed press (I won't even mention the online version on the small screen of a phone) don't do some of these gems justice. It is good to see quality prints of a decent size. A good collection of Irish images that have captured the year just passed.
