In the flesh, as it were, this time, not a drawing.

We attended the Memorial Service in Westbury this morning. Have to say the inhabitants of this little town do this day justice year after year. There's always a big turn out and a good cross section of society.

On our return I snapped Simon in a moment of reflection, possibly contemplating the reality that this is his last Rememberance Day as a member of The Royal Engineers as he retires officially in early Dec, tho he's actually already hit civvy street.

He was kindly letting me photograph his medals but I liked this picture of him so much I decided to Blip it.

He thinks the 'Porch Party ' his wife is throwing next weekend is actually to celebrate their new porch and is quite exasperated over the whole idea ( " who has a party for a porch for goodness sake?! " ). In reality it's going to be the presentation night for the picture that Sav has done to commemorate his 30 years of service. That'll shut him up!
