...on purple things again...
They seemed to stay in one place rather longer on the thistles than they did on the lavender the other day! 
Lovely walk late afternoon, round the res - herons, a noisy wren and the usual waterfowl; up the lane - 5 dumped tyres which we have reported and will be removed; and back via the fields and a view of the new incarnation of the spooky house. It has been beautifully pointed, extended in size and has an orangery under construction. Roy gathered intel on his run yesterday - it is now owned by an architect who intends to live in it, rather than the development of a dozen dwellings on the site which was mooted. I will blip it once the work is complete ;)
