Butterflies, dragonflies and Ospreys

An afternoon off work today for  little jaunt to Rutland Water to see the Ospreys. Mum and two babies (well grown by now) were just chilling and Dad was off somewhere out of sight. Then I spotted him on the far side of the lake, flying over the water. He must have been hunting as we saw him later, again on the far side, making short work of a huge fish. Sadly for me, these fantastic birds were too far away from my measly lens but there were plenty of smaller creatures in range.
