Berries for the birds
My chickens mop up any that fall, or that are growing within reach. These are Pyracantha berries and the soft contrasting background is provided by the purpling autumn leaves of Viburnum opulus sterile, which is covered in beautifully held snowball flower heads in the spring.
I've at last got out my big boys' cameras, but need to learn to use them all over again...
