Amazing what you meet in the local park - 2 pet skunks.

Lizzie, who has a very keen prey drive, was not interested in the slightest. All the same I kept a firm grip of her lead. 

Their owners say the skunks rarely spray and if they do the smell can be removed with hydrogen peroxide. They also said that skunks are more intelligent than dogs - maybe more so than my beloved but somewhat dopey hound, but surely not in general??
