Would You Look At the Size of Them!

Like so many gigantic lipsticks, these huge pipes were being unloaded from a lorry in Middle Meadow Walk as we passed this morning.
The work of putting them into a huge trench stretching from the top of MMW down the path, through to George Square, along its length to Charles Street and beyond is progressing quickly probably because the disruption to the area needs to be over before the dreaded Fringe comes knocking at our door again, turning the area into a theme park with Underbelly events and installations.

His Lordship and I braved the town this morning to collect an order of a summer jacket from Rohan. One of the troubles about buying from Rohan is the price and the durability. I usually wait till their sale is on, but even then, I am loathe to ever get rid of their clothes because of what I paid for them. The other consideration is, they never seem to wear out.

It was incredibly warm and muggy this morning, especially so when the sun was out. The clouds are gathering now with rain expected, but probably not enough to cancel the ban on hosepipes if or when it’s implemented.
