Hazy evening
A late evening walk in Thrunton Woods with MrM; he was hoping to get to the top of the hill and I was hoping for a few shots of badgers. We achieved neither, but it was a pleasant walk all the same, despite the insects buzzing round our heads.
The map that MrM picked up as we left home turned out to be the wrong map. Undaunted, we tried three different tracks, but none led to the top of the hill. So we went back down to the spot where MrM recently watched several badgers, and waited a good long while. It was probably a little too early when we arrived, but our chances of seeing badgers diminished hugely when a large roe deer crossed the track. It took great exception to our presence, and barked very loudly and long enough to alert every creature for miles that danger lurked! Hazy, dusky very grainy view of the Cheviot and Hedgehope Hill from the edge of the wood as we got back to the car.
ION, the world seems to have righted itself. Maybe a little off axis, but near enough...
