bougainvillea blooming

This bougainvillea has been planted since 2013 and this year it has been a little off, not blooming as much. So I started fertilizing it, a specific fertilizer for bougainvillea. I think now I see some new buds on the branches next to these pretty blooms -yay! I also trimmed all the dead wood back a bit, in hopes that would help get some new growth going. I got scratched up some in the process - ouch! Oh well, it is such a pretty plant, it's worth it. This one grows over an arch on a path to our mailbox. Here's hoping for more blooms in the near future. I've featured it quite a bit before on my journal.
