Groundhog Day

Up early to make sure that we were in Betaille in time for the EDF to come and renew the power line into the house.  They came a few weeks ago, expressed horror, took photos, said they would go away and scratch their heads and provide an estimate for the work.  Today they guy arrived, we thought, to do the work. Instead, he expressed horror, took photos, said he would go away and scratch his head and provide an estimate for the work.  Is it Groundhog day?  We reminded him that his colleagues had been here before.  After checking his paperwork, he acknowledged that we were right and he promised that he would arrange for the work to be done before the end of July.  In the words of Victor Meldrew, "I (just) don't believe it."  A woman came this evening to view our house.  She stayed for nearly two hours.  She loved the place, but she has a lot of thinking to do.  Just after she left we had a big thunderstorm and a power cut.  Hence the candles.  Just before that I managed a quick butterfly shot, see extra.
