Giant leaves

These Innula leaves in the garden make me smile every time I look at them. The plant really doesn't belong where it is, but I think that's why I like it. I imagine the staid and sturdy Hebe looking over it's shoulder and thinking, 'What on earth.....!? '

A busy grass cutting day. Lots of Arctic terns by the shore but I seemed to be just far enough away not to be dive bombed. Also a very attractive yellow bird, which, looking back at a blip from MySisterCissie I identified as a greenfinch.
