Alongside the North Esk....

Out with Mintlaw Walkers today on the well known Rocks of Solitude walk just outside Edzell. Very bonny it was too, and slightly more challenging than our usual venues. Our summer outing today took in Balmakewan estate in the morning for coffee and a scone then a wee stroll along the river at North Water Bridge, then back to Edzell in the bus to go through the Blue Door to the afternoon walk, finishing with high tea in Edzell before heading home, weary but happy. Colin took the day off to join me which made it an even better day.
