I've had this accordion for a very long time. Hours and hours of practice, years and years of joy. And then for some reasons I'm unwilling to shed light on, I stopped playing. But I think that the very moment I feel like getting back into it, my fingers will find their way on the keyboard again (hope so anyway). Well, here's the end of part one.
Above all, I wanted to pay tribute to a beautiful instrument, not always appreciated for what it's worth, especially among classical musicians and to do so, show you a link to one of our best accordion- players (one of the first to have imposed it on Jazz too) Richard Galliano in a tango composition in memory of Nougaro, a French singer he used to accompany.
And don't tell me it's so French! Accordion is being played all over the world in Russia, Italy, Brasil, Argentina, New orleans, not to mention many other countries, everywhere beautifully expressing the deepest roots of popular music!
Ps: This blip is linked to the little clay accordeonist I showed you the other day and thanks to Atoll who unknowingly suggested it to me.
