Sea Sunday

In Falmouth it’s always on the third Saturday in July and for the fourth year running we were lucky to secure the services of HM Royal Marines Band, Flag Officer Plymouth.

The weather was great, hot and sunny, as the parade set off from the Moor, passing clapping spectators as it made its way to King Charles The Martyr church.

An hours service preceded the march past, Band leading, with the salute taken by the Lord Lieutenant Of Cornwall.

The RM Band entertained us in Events Square and received warm applause from both spectators and participants.

A buffet reception in the Watersports Centre allowed us to draw breath before heading to Penryn’s Exchequer Quay for their service.

By the time I flopped into bed I’d had a few nibbles from two buffets, a couple of beers, too much sunshine but a great day.
