Mousa, Shetland
Drove down to Sandwick to take the boat across to Mousa, a small island managed by the RSPB. Lots of arctic terns about but little opportunity to photograph them—they were very keenly protecting their nests and the RSPB signposts made it clear that we were to stick to the path and keep moving. Climbed the Broch of Mousa, a wonderfully preserved iron age broch (with stairs) which is some 2,000 years old. (Interior of the broch and our picnic lunch view of a too-far-away seal family in extras.)
