Portsoy Pipe Band

It's been a lovely warm and sunny day.  It clouded over by teatime, and a light shower this evening. 

First day in Orkney in 10 years, and I was busy nursing a serious hangover! It was a long night last night.  I finally got up and met up with the gang, and we all headed to Kirkwall for the day.  Various shops and stops along the way, then back to Stromness.  There's been various events on through the day, and the village is buzzing with folk.  More partying will be had tonight.

Amongst the partying, there's been various bands playing at the Stromness Shopping Week.  I have to say, my favourite so far had to be the Portsoy Pipe Band, bagpipes are always great to hear.  Taken along the main street in Stromness, with our hotel for the weekend in the background.
