a glowing start

Having travelled to Dusseldorf on Tuesday then onto Brussels on Wednesday I woke this morning knowing my diary was going to mean another hectic day. A glimpse of the shining Grand Place before tourists arrive did put a smile on my face to start the day.
However the smile was well worn off at the end of the day when boarding at Brussels airport was aborted due to an IT problem with the air controllers, all flights in and out were suspended. Chaos followed and eventually my flight was cancelled. The airport hotel was quickly filled so no room in the Inn. I decided to take a taxi back into the city and get on Eurostar, its currently 22.00 GMT and Im now on the train north from London St Pancras. My office have arranged a car for 7.30 to take me back to BHX airport to pick up my car. Summary; a long day but I have caught up with lots of work on the trains.
Did I mention I will enjoy retirement?
