Quiet and reflective

Not what the day was like at all. Getting ready for our trip to the Lakes and Edinburgh over the next 10 days involved not only getting all our stuff ready but also getting Doreen packed as well. She’s traveling up with us as far as Kirkby Lonsdale where we will hand her over to Barbara her Edinburgh based daughter.

At the end of our week we’re travelling on to Edinburgh for a few days to help celebrate a raft of birthdays and anniversaries including Barbara and David’s Ruby Wedding.

I won’t elaborate on the endless list of tasks today, they came thick and fast - as soon as one was dispatched 3 more appeared like the Hydra’s heads.

We got away at the expected time and arrived at our overnight accommodation in Milton Keynes little troubled by motorway traffic for a change.
