Eyes on the Prize

This delighted blackbird emerged triumphantly from the bushes with the biggest caterpillar I've ever seen.......he spent a couple of minutes assessing how best to deal with it, picked it up ( see extra) and disappeared over the fence with it.............I sincerely hope he wasn't intending to feed it to a chick in one go ........I can't imagine it would go down very easily :-/
