But, then again . . . . .

Falls of Clyde.

I took Herself to New Lanark today to see the last day of Great Scottish Tapestry exhibition. It's lost non of its appeal and now has some panels describing the work that various contributors did and includes a display about the theft and reworking of the Roslin panel. There was even specific mention of the chapel tour guide, who was also one of the stitchers, in recognition of the research she did for the piece. Unfortunately, there was no mention of the talented photographer who produced a series of excellent studies from which the needle women worked.

I have have hankered after visiting the Falls of Clyde for some years, so we took a stroll up there after lunch. It wasn't quite what I had expected, though it was pleasant to compare notes with some girls from the wildlife trust; they were on duty explaining what wildlife we could have seen - if only there hadn't been so many people to scare it all away.
