Onion Johnny

Great to see “Onion Johnny “ back in the market at Romsey today. Shame that he had actually sold out of French onions from Brittany by the time I got to the market.

I still have plenty of shallots from his last visit and stocked up on garlic only last week.

“Johnny” from Roscoff is now a regular visitor to the market place, and it surprises even me that we use so many onions in various dishes.

Thankfully we still have a few on a string at home — fingers crossed that they will last untll his next visit.
