Worn

The Ringlets are looking very worn and faded and are not so numerous as a few weeks ago.

I popped out just before the rain arrived although it was already overcast. I still managed to spot Speckled Wood, Small White, Small Skipper, Red Admiral, Gatekeeper and Meadow Brown to go with the Ringlets, on this first day of the 2018 Big Butterfly Count.

I'm looking forward to having a weekend with the kids. I'm sure Incredibles 2 and  the Bradford Science Festival will feature somewhere along the way. 10yo has broken up for the summer now but 13yo still has his DoE expedition early next week before he finishes properly. I guess I should start thinking about summer trips.
