Watch and wait!

A wet start this morning ..... wet enough for umbrellas and wellies. 

Whatever the weather dogs need to have their exercise and this lovely collie was waiting so patiently for the ball to be fired from the plastic tube.

The garden enjoyed the soaking but the soil here is so sandy that the water very quickly disappears leaving raindrops on the flower petals.

The weather improved throughout the afternoon and now at just after 7 o'clock we have blue sky and a few cotton wool clouds.
