Remembrance

Today was the Catholic 'Blessing of the Graves' - which unusually coincided with Remembrance Day. Mom urged me to go even though I was here in Brum. She reminded me that it's not just for war dead. Dad served 28 years in the army when he left Edinburgh.

I would have loved to have taken a picture of the priest who ran along with his robe tucked into the back of his jogging bottoms saying 'Thank God it's not raining!' while he sprayed drops of water at the graves as he ran by.

You couldn't get into the little church 2pm service it was so full. I took my picture from the corridor outside and didn't get told off which was the important thing!
