The Most Wonderful Time...

of the year! Sang the teachers! Parents will get their turn to sing in about six weeks time ;-) 

A final early start and a busy day. I think my favourite part was giving them their leaving gift. We bought them a bracelet each that's like mine, which says "Smile, Love and Be Kind" our class mantra/motto this year. I wondered at first whether it'd be overlooked in favour of the Maoam sweets we also included in the present, but thankfully they seemed delighted with the wristband too! And they wore them home, I just wished I'd gotten a whole class picture with everybody wearing one. 

After school we took S to a local pub for birthday drinks, under the guise if it being school's out drinks. We headed over, and then a few more friends surprised her by arriving. I'm glad we pulled it off, she said she had no clue :-) We had a happy hour there but we were all so knackered. 

It's been a good year (I'm surprised I've said that!) and it's tinged with a little sadness that it's over. But we're all exhausted, and need a good rest. Then we will begin afresh and turn another lot around. 

And now I'm off to write the rest of my book :-)
