Community day

This year the company I work for has, once again, decided to turn one lot if the training days into community days. Employees are given the opportunity to put suggestions forward for the local area. They are usually schools or sports clubs, and D S Smith pay for a certain amount of materials or equipment to help with improvements.

One of the chosen projects this year was to help the Friends of Newmillerdam- as it is somewhere that we walk regularly I decided it would be a nice one to join in. The girls ended up painting railings round the lake, while the blokes helped improve the walkways to allow easier disabled access. It was certainly a beautiful place to spend a work day.
