Slow Progress

No Brownies tonight but a clash of a Guide meeting and a Scout meeting AND no babysitter!

Eldest and her crew continue to make progress but the wind conditions are not helpful. At one point they moved up to 4th place in their class!

Meanwhile The Boy has been invited to join a school friend and her Dad and younger brother on their boat to crew in some youth races etc this summer. He is delighted and tonight was their first practice together. A huge success and he thoroughly enjoyed it. Their first race is on Saturday at St Mawes so they have to sail across the bay from Helford to get there!

The Guide meeting was about their upcoming camp. This time Princess is off for another 5 days for a ‘back to basics’ camp after last year’s jamboree.

Finally I made the Scout meeting for the end - I’m now officially on Compass and a member of the Scouting ‘family’. Much discussion of what opportunities we can try to offer our young people. Only seems fair given everything my lot have been able to do!!
