Eryngium
We have a couple of these relations of the native Sea Holly growing in pots near the door. The texture and structure always intrigue me. As a lad the Sea Holly we saw down on the coast near Allonby was equally intriguing.
The way the colour slowly develops and then the intensity of the blue, so much more colourful that the Sea Holly. The flowers also give interest during winter as the texture and structure survive well.
The rest of the day round home getting things done.
