Globos

The first ever balloon festival (Fiesta de Globos) occurred today on Playa La Ropa. According to our friends these festivals are held all around Mexico, usually featuring a variety of small, hand-made balloons. Our festival consisted of three large, hot-air balloons in which people were given quick up and down rides. It was hugely popular, with the waiting lines stretching down the beach. It was also hugely popular with photographers as they were everywhere trying to get photos in the early evening. I managed to capture this image of all three of the balloon's burners firing at the same time, once again lifting a group in each basket to a unique view of the beach, even if it was almost too dark to see anything.
