Tortoiseshell Butterfly - Aglais urticae

Spent most of day wrestling with brambles and nettles  -  the bane of my life☺  I'm now covered in midgy bites!!  There were lots of white butterflies around, but only one Tortoiseshell hovering around my Elecampane!  I think the heat was affecting him (25 degrees)  because he stayed long enough to be blipped.
