St Michaels
The aerial photo is of St Michael's church in Michaelston Y Fedw, a small village of about two hundred inhabitants, a couple of miles from my house and on the border with Newport and Cardiff.
There's been a church here since the 5th century, and indeed the present church has Roman stones used in it, and appears to have a painting inside from that period. The Tynte chapel dates from the 14th century.
A beautiful old church I thought I'd record in the landscape.
The local community hit the news last month when it became the first community in Wales to install it's own fibre optic broadband (1 gbps!!) and advertise this with banners - MYFI - Michaelston Y Fedw Internet - a play on wi-fi.....very clever!
