A sad sight

I arrived for Coffee with my family to find a dead Sparrowhawk at the back of the house.  It looked relatively undamged but an immature bird it may have flown into the house ( a white door perhaps or a window)  but no clear evidence as far as we can see. 

One of the Adult (parent) birds was seen minutes later flying over with prey and from the calls in the wood nearby there are still young Sparrowhawks to be fed.

This one had a short life BUT at least it got to fly.
