Oasis

One of our routine trips to give blood (Mrs W seems quite keen to do this sort of thing every month or so – just a little each time), and I thought that I would take the camera with me in case there was anything worth snapping while I was waiting.
 
The immediate scene that caught my eye was the oasis of green around the spring, so I just had to get a shot showing it up against the parched grass.
 
Then I took a few more shots which, when I got home and looked at, I much preferred to the intended shot so my intended is on Flickr along with two others.
 
At ‘extra’ is a handy notice pinned to a tree by a concerned person – bang goes saving up the crusts for the ducks.
