Two Lochs Day
BACKBLIP
I was very keen to get off cycling to Loch Vaa to see the red squirrels that Paps and Ben saw in Sunday morning. Of course they was no bloody sign of them or the capercaillie gurgling in the forest that they also heard. I did see a baby red deer on our cycle and the boys enjoyed showing me the tadpoles by the shore.
We cycled back to the house and then lunch . After we loaded the boys bikes on the car to drive to Loch an Eilein as Mummy hadn’t been there before. We have cycled round it many a time it’s truly beautiful with the castle in the middle.
Good walk followed by at stop at Rothiemurchas at the Drurie Cafe - Good coffee!
We were building up a good appetite as were having a meal out at our local restaurant, Andersons, as heard the portions were big- and they were - the steak pie alone would have fed my mother for days. All tasty food and well worth the high reviews.
We rolled down the hill to the house and a quick board game before bed as Mummy away ho e tomorrow in the early train and we were all shattered! Well the grown ups were the kids have endless energy and stamina!
