Meet the family clown

There is a field very close to our house, where at times of heavy snow or rain, the lower half of the field fills with water causing a miniature lochette! I floated my car in it this week before it covered in snow

Since then it has frozen - in parts.
S decided that it would be fun to slide on the ice despite the pending thaw. As she stepped on the ice you could hear it creak and crack, despite the warning clues she continued on, so I watched and waited thinking "do I make her walk back home?" " how long will it take the hot water to fill the bath?" as a caring parent does, after saying "get off that ice", "it'll break", "you'll fall in","you'll get soaked" - blah blah blah. Deaf ears inherited from her father!

Creak...aaargh...run
