What an absolutely magical day at Uluru! :D
We got the hop on hop off bus which took us from our resort to the national park and nothing could prepare us just how huge it is. Uluru is the second largest monolith in the world measuring 348m and is thought to be 600 million years old! You can walk all the way around Uluru on a track and Hugh and I spent the entire day trying to take it all in! Although it is one large sandstone formation there are so many elements that you see when you walk round, that appears as lots of different shapes. There are gorges, erosion, swimming holes (it was dry when we visited), cave painting etc, so much to see. As it is a sacred site there are also sections which you are not allowed to photograph. After a full day walking round in the heat the bus picked us up and took us to a sunset viewing area where we all watched the ever changing colours of uluru as the light faded.
Can certainly see this a natural wonder, one of the best things I've ever seen!
