Correction Wynd

A wonder around the centre today. One of the places I have photographed previously is the entrance to this tunnel under Union Street. Correction Wynd is at the original street level, while Union Street is elevated above the original street level for much of its length. This gives the impression that this part of the city is much flatter than it is in reality. This only appears as the steep hills down from Union Street in the direction of the river.

Much of Aberdeen had to be demolished to build Union Street which runs straight through the city centre from West to East and totally ignores the street layout of what was there previously.
