Photo shoot
Having set it up during lunch yesterday, we took our friend Pam out early for a photography lesson! Pam said she liked photographing nature and detail, so the Wildlife Sanctuary at the end of the Creek was chosen for nature, and Khan Murjan souk in Wafi was chosen for detail/architecture.
It was really hot but we survived! The hide at the Sanctuary has had a refurbishment over Ramadan and looks very smart now. It has air-conditioning too, though, with all the windows open, it was hard to really feel the effort the machine was making! The feeder man was more than half an hour late, so we didn't hang around waiting.
The souk in Khan Murjan was fabulous. We saw some new trends and were able to freely photograph the wares on display. We came back to our flat to view the pictures on the big screen, so we could compare shots/angles and get tips etc! I think Pam felt her five and a half hour time commitment was well spent.
And in the evening, we met up with Miriam who is in town on her way to the UK. We went back to our old haunt - the Warehouse where we enjoyed delicious food and great conversation. :)
