77 Sunset Strip
My mobile phone showed sunset was at 21:10, the photo data says it was taken at 20:09. Girls, horses and Luna out for a ride while Flash and I did a leisurely walk between the fields of maize and enjoying the shade. The moon can be seen top right.
Interesting note for UK riders - we don't have any hedges here (sadly from an environment point of view) and the individual fields are very small, the law requiring that every owner of a field has the right of machine-usable access. Thus there are loads of good quality tracks all over the place (sometimes non-agricultural vehicles banned (strictly horse & carriage too) but not ridden horses. These tracks are often grass in the middle and ideal for cantering.
Outside the vegetation period (generally October - March) you can ride across grass fields in any direction you want but should, of course, take care not to damage the ground i.e. not cantering when ground soaked. You can also ride over stubble or crop harvested fields as much as you like before they are ploughed up. And in the forests, whether private or State-owned, fences and gates are prohibited and everyone including riders has free access to tracks. There are from time to time "No riding" signs but very rarely and they must be official parish council signs. Tends to be in suburban areas with narrow tracks and lots of walkers/joggers.
I had a lazy day totally exhausted by all the "action" of the last few weeks, I had planned to do the bees but have put it off for 24 hours.
Oh and the Blip Title? From my very first days of watching B&W TV
