Mendips

A walk around Charterhouse in the Mendips with Son 2, his friend and his friend's dad, John.

Lovely, breezy walk and a long chat about stuff.

Got back to the car park to find the window of a neighbouring car smashed in. The young owner returned with her mum and son, dropped a few F bombs on seeing the sight and realised her purse had gone. We collected all the broken glass out of her car for her, told her to contact the police thinking her cards may have been used where there was CCTV, left her our details and meandered home.

Such a shame - it's an isolated spot that has somehow drawn someone who is hellbent on commiting a crime. All a bit sad but what can you do?
