Birdland

Finally got to visit today after postponing it on Monday as it was too hot. It was cooler first thing but has now warmed up again. The penguins (extra) were enjoying a shower from a sprinkler.

Me: look Rory, it says here that a bird's feathers often weigh more than its skeleton
Rory : (enormous yawn)
Son-in-law: It's the way that you tell them, Dave

Rory enjoyed the penguins, but I think the dinosaur trail was his favourite part. And for some reason we were all pirates, with calls of 'come on 'other pirates' when we were not playing along sufficiently.
