Doing my bit ...

...for the bees. The veronicastrum plants were covered in them even though the topmost spires are starting to wither. There's still plenty of this elegant plant in the garden. So many bees but hardly a butterfly to be seen.

A childminding day which involved a fairly early start, a trip to the library, ice cream and a good deal of water play. A very tired three year old now and quite tired grandparents too.

Tonight the editor's comments on my writing beckon though so I'll be switching on the pc ...
